Differnt Types Of Safety Nets

As the name implies, safety netting primarily functions as protection. The protection offered by safety netting extends to both people and valuable property. Specific types of safety nets are designed for specific tasks and should be used accordingly, in order to offer the greatest degree of protection.

Industrial safety nets, designed to protect workers from falls in the workplace, can be used for roof industries, factories, and construction. Standard sizes are available and so too are custom-made nets, based on the specific needs of the business.

While industrial safety nets are designed to be sturdy and come with reinforced ropes, they can be severely misused. Some practices that industrial safety nets were not designed to be used for include using the net as a storage device, using the net as a walking surface, or using the net as a surface to purposefully jump into. Other precautions for use require only qualified experts to install the product and making sure that the knots in the net are secure. Daily inspects are required to make sure the net is in proper working order.

Another type of safety net is a barrier net. These type of nets protect high-priced lighting equipment at sporting events. A similar type of safety net, a curtain divider, is used to separate large areas of indoor or outdoor areas into separate spaces. Curtain dividers are especially useful in gyms and indoor athletic courts.

Additionally, safety nets can be used to catch debris. Debris can come from natural sources, such as birds and rocks, as well as man-made sources, such as falling objects at construction sites. Used in this manner, safety nets frequently help protect both people and property
