How to Clean Grout Using Grout Sealer

Posted by admin

Clean GroutUsing a grout sealer product on tile grout lines will ensure the longevity of the grout. Grout Paints offer customers the advantage of having a grout cleaner and sealer all in one to keep the grout looking great with very little maintenance. Leaving grout lines unsealed will result in staining from day to day activities. Over time the grout will begin to lose its original color, darkening to a dingy, unattractive finish. Follow these easy tips on how to clean grout.

In order for the Grout Paints kit to work properly and give best results, the grout must first be vacuumed to remove dirt particles. Use the included chamois to wipe away any oil, grease or dirt smudges on and surrounding the grout lines.

Don rubber gloves and apply the grout cleaner included in the Grout Paints kit in a straight, thin line over the grout. Wash the grout by scrubbing the cleaner into the grout lines with the included brush, working in small sections at a time. Create a smooth finish on top of the grout lines by dragging a finger along the grout lines.

Dampen the chamois with water. Wipe the chamois over the tile on either side of the grout lines to remove the grout sealer from the surface of the tiles. Try to avoid wiping the chamois over the grout lines as this may remove the Grout Paints product, leaving an area on the grout susceptible to staining and dirt.

Repeat rinsing the surrounding tiles with the dampened chamois until all excess residues are removed. Allow the Grout Paints to dry and cure for 24 hours before using. Keep moisture away from the grout during this time.

It is recommended to polish the surrounding tile with a small amount of glass cleaner after the grout has thoroughly cured.
